I thought I would use a very limited palette on this painting. It is an Anders Zorn palette. (Cadmium Red, Yellow Ochre, Black and White). I modified it by using Indian Red instead of Cadmium Red. I really like challenging myself with different materials, techniques and design.
Other people must have liked this palette because the painting sold right away.

Greetings Corinne- I found your blog through Stapleton's, where you left that good question about color temperature in light vs. shadow. Thank goodness I'm not the only one with that problem!
I'm just a beginning painter, and am trying to self-learn; your painting evoke a beautiful land. I haven't been in Maine since my honeymoon 33 years ago, but your lovely paintings refresh my memory.
