Shipbuilders Park is right next to the famous Hodgdon Yachts in East Boothbay, Maine. You can paint there at any given time and see all kinds of boats coming and going. I painted this early on an August morning and completed it last week. I was fascinated by the light on this obviously custom boat. It was a pristine day with a billowy sky. What more could an artist want?
