In September the Plein Air Painters of Maine (PAPME) were invited out to Fisherman's Island across from Ocean Point in East Boothbay. The owners' private boat picked us up and we were warmly welcomed. It was like being in another world. The landscape was so rugged yet so peaceful. I wanted to capture that feeling in this painting. I am happy to say, we have been invited to go out there again this year.
