A Great Place to Walk

The Path at Grimes Cove
9" x 12"
Oil on oil-primed linen mounted on board
$575   SOLD

It was an overcast day when I painted this. I really like overcast days because you don't have to deal with the sun moving and changing the shadows, the lights and the values. This path belongs to the citizens of East Boothbay so it is open to the public. How wonderful it is to be able to walk by the ocean, smell the air, see the waves gliding in and the gulls calling. No wonder I love plein-air painting. Maybe you will give it a try also!
