Nature's Bounty

It was a foggy warm day and the wild mustard was climbing all over the rocks. The contrasts were amazing. The brightness of yellow of the wild mustard against the dark background of seaweed and rocks. The softness of the flowers against the rough texture of the seaweed and rocks. And the clarity of the flowers and foreground rocks against the fogginess of the ocean, seaweed and far rocks was so fascinating for me. Another reason plein air painting is so rewarding. You get to absorb all of nature's bounty.
