March in Maine can be cold! Even more so in the early morning. I painted this as the sun was just peeking above the horizon. It was cold but oh so peaceful. When you are painting in the zone you don't even even feel the temperature. You just feel the sheer enjoyment of your brushstrokes going where you want them to. Then when you begin to feel your hands getting colder you know is time to go home.
