A New Venue
I had been to this sunken garden in Wiscasset years ago. It was planted inside a foundation from the 1800's. It is a lovely peaceful quiet haven in the middle of the town. It was a challenge to get all the elements in and still have a simplicity. I needed to get an interesting distance and still have a focal point. I used a palette knife in a few places. It was a really fun painting to do.
