Landscapes Change
This was a full blown lake a few years ago. After a severe rainstorm the dam protecting it gave way and changed the landscape and now it is a tidal marsh/river. Thankfully it seems to be recovering. The day I was there the tide was going out and the colours were almost a hazy ochre. Plein air painting gives you the opportunity to see things and learn things you would never experience otherwise.
