What to do on a Snowy Day

Low Tide at Knickercane Island
11" x 14"
Oil on oil-primed linen mounted on board
$1100  SOLD

Last August I went to Knickercane Island in Boothbay Harbor to paint. When I came home I put the almost finished painting in my "tweak pile".  Now the tweak pile can get pretty big because I just keep on painting new subjects outdoors. The perfect time to tweak is when we have really cold weather, lots of snow and I cannot go outside. While I am painting I am remembering all the underbrush and how nice and warm it was that day.  I tried to keep my masses and values simple and have a rather monochromatic painting.......Now onto another "tweak".
