The Side of the Road

Even the side of the road can make for such an interesting painting. I love walking along Shore Road at Grimes Cove and seeing the dried weeds and in this case the Goldenrod blooming where no one has planted them. They just "arrive". Sometimes I will bring them home and put them in a vase to make a dried arrangement. Or I will put them in my studio to use as reference. There is such an abundance of things to paint in the world!
