A Portrait

This painting was done at the Tugboat parking lot in Boothbay Harbor with the Plein Air Painters of Maine. It was challenge to select what objects surrounding the boat to paint because there was so much "stuff" around. This is actually a "portrait" of the "Sea Spray" a wonderful working lobster boat. Unlike an impression of the boat (which I may do another time) I wanted it to be recognizable if the owner or whoever was familiar with it ever saw it. Ahh the joys of plein air.
